Located in the Toolbox, the Guidance feature provides an evaluation of the impact of the Glossary and Translation Memory on the final translation. It is a score calculated from 1 to 101, where 1 means there was no match at all in the Translation Memory and the Glossary, and 101 means a perfect match, therefore no translation needed to be done. Higher scores means the AI could rely on more base content.
Guidance only bases itself on the Translation Memories and Glossaries. It does not evaluate the alternate languages or the extra prompts.
The intention is to give to the user a quick visual cue on how reliable the translation is likely to be.
The score for each Translation Unit can also be seen on the Info page:
The rating score is as follows:
Score | Comment |
0 | Autonomous |
1 | Low |
< 20 | Reasonnable |
< 50 | Sufficient |
< 80 | Excellent |
< 95 | Pristine |
101 | Full |
